Purposes of Personal Data Processing

When processing personal data, SIA "Rakši" observes the laws of the Republic of Latvia, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), as well as other laws in the field of privacy and personal data processing.

This data protection policy explains how SIA "Rakši" processes personal data of individuals and ensures the exercise of data subject rights regarding privacy and personal data processing issues. SIA "Rakši" data protection policy applies to all types of personal data processing carried out by SIA "Rakši".

SIA "Rakši" processes personal data received directly from the data subject (i.e., the person who has provided personal data) or indirectly (with corporate clients). Indirectly received personal data are processed only if it is necessary for SIA "Rakši" to process personal data to provide services within the framework of contractual obligations, such as contacting corporate clients, etc.

Purposes of Personal Data Processing by SIA "Rakši"

  • To provide services within the framework of contractual obligations (including creating an account on the Kamieli.lv website for purchasing goods, which ensures invoice delivery, communication, product delivery, etc. with the necessary data processing for purchasing goods).
  • For processing information submitted by the data subject to subscribe to Kamieli.lv email newsletters and updates (you can opt-out of receiving such messages at any time using the automatic unsubscribe option in emails, changing settings in your profile, deleting stored cookies, calling our information phone, or sending a request to stop communication to the email info@kamieli.lv).

Unfinished Purchase Reminder

Please note that we will send a technical support email within 72 hours from the moment you have not completed the purchase on our online store. This is necessary to ensure that you have not encountered any technical issues during the purchase and to release the product reservation.

Retention Period for Personal Data

SIA "Rakši" stores and processes personal data as long as at least one of the following criteria exists:

  • Until complete fulfillment of contractual obligations (including negotiations where an oral agreement is concluded and/or a service application is made).
  • Until consent is withdrawn, but not longer than 1 year from the receipt of consent.
  • Until the deadline set by external regulatory acts for data storage and processing or until the deadline when the data subject can realize their legitimate interests and rights (for example, submit objections and/or file claims in court).
  • As long as there is a legal obligation to store data (for example, in accordance with the Accounting Law, Labor Law, Consumer Protection Law, etc.).
  • As long as the data subject's consent for the respective personal data processing is valid, if there is no other legitimate basis for data processing.

After none of the circumstances specified in this point exist, the personal data of the data subject will be deleted.

  • In accordance with the data subject's consent;
  • For the fulfillment of obligations set by regulatory acts.

Personal Data Transfer

To fulfill our obligations to you, we may transfer your personal data to our partners, data processors who perform the necessary data processing to ensure the performance of contractual obligations (including courier services, IT infrastructure developers/maintainers, etc.). These companies, in accordance with the law and our cooperation agreement, are required to protect your personal data and process it only according to our specified purposes.

Personal data is not transferred to third countries (i.e., countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area).

Minors

SIA "Rakši" does not provide services to minors. If SIA "Rakši" becomes aware that it has obtained and processed personal data of minors, appropriate actions will be taken to delete such personal data.

Data subject rights apply to every natural person whose personal data is processed by SIA "Rakši," and it applies to personal data processing regardless of the form in which you or any other natural person has provided personal data: on the Kamieli.lv website, in secured information systems, in paper form, or by phone.   • The right to object to the processing of personal data by SIA "Rakši" if there is no longer any obligation to retain them.
  • The right to request deletion of your data if SIA "Rakši" continues to retain them, at the end of the storage period, as well as in certain situations to restrict data processing and/or obtain electronic copies of information that SIA "Rakši" has available.
